The Role
Within the Business Development Representative (BDR) role, we support outbound sales teams by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive account research. BDRs consistently make a tangible impact in the Sales Development Organization by generating millions of dollars of new business pipelines each year.
What You’ll Do
- Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities
- Nurture early-stage opportunities
- Gain interest through outbound cold calling across a set of existing BT customers and breaking into net new logos in assigned territory
- Partner with Account Executives to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and personas
- Identify key decision makers within new accounts
- Create a great first impression to our prospects and customers by providing them with a world class experience
- Maintain active engagement with new and existing customers through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in BT
- Achieve monthly quotas of sourced qualified opportunities
- Enter prospect information into Salesforce.
- Enhance product knowledge through regularly attending training sessions.
- Support marketing campaigns and promotional offers to help optimize revenue.

What You’ll Bring
- 1-2 years experience in business development, sales or related field experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment. You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your interesting angles and quality work
- Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of accounts that are a hybrid of net-new and existing install
- Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent achievement of year-over-year quota attainment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Personality to establish and maintain strong relationships with sales teams you support and become a valued partner to them.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and maximize efficiency.
- Effective listener to understand prospect needs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong desire to be in technology sales
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High energy and positive attitude
- Ability to take initiative
- Solid phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
