About the Role
Our Business Development Representative (BDR) team plays a key role within our broader Sales organisation bringing new business opportunities to life! As a BDR, you will be driving new business growth by identifying and creating opportunities in untapped markets through proactive and strategic outbound prospecting and building a strong pipeline that leads to successful deals closed. You’ll connect with diverse B2B prospects, develop deep expertise in the risk and compliance industry, and sharpen your skills to persist, overcome challenges, and deliver results.

What you’ll do:
- Compete to win and exceed your monthly quota by maintaining high call activity, quickly assessing a prospect’s “fit” and book meetings
- Proactively generate qualified leads by cold calling, engaging with and developing prospects for the Sales team to close
- Document, track and monitor all leads and activities in Salesforce
- Utilise smart, targeted questions to speak knowledgeably with decision makers such as VPs, Directors and C-suite personnel
- Acquire in depth knowledge of our full range of risk and compliance solutions and services, conveying that knowledge to potential customers, and adhering to company messaging and positioning
- Nurture relationships with longer term prospects
- Conduct territory development best practices with email, phone and chat using sales enablement tools to connect with new prospects and current customers
What you’ll bring:
- Previous sales, telemarketing or lead generation experience; cloud computing or SaaS industry experience preferred
- A tenacious work ethic with a desire to have a career in sales
- Competitive drive, a hunger to win and a self-starter mindset—you create opportunities, take ownership, and stay focused on results to meet and exceed quota monthly, maintain a high call rate and quickly assess prospect’s “fit”
- Grit and know-how with a curious and creative mindset to set goals to achieve bigger outcomes
- Technical acumen to ramp up quickly on core technologies such as Salesforce, Groove, etc.
- A modest yet assertive and confident demeanour with empathy and compassion
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, presentations skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives to engage and influence executive-level decision makers

Our side of the deal:

The starting pay for this role is 35,000 GBP per annum and a target variable of 14,000 GBP. Target variable pay is based on individual achievement factors and is not guaranteed.
