Job Title

Business Development Representative (Shared – Catalyst & Ibcos)

Role Details

  • Responsible for: N/A – individual contributor, no direct reports
  • Team: Sales & Marketing – New Business
  • Reports to: Sales and Marketing Director/Business Development Manager

Company Overview

Ibcos: Ibcos is a market-leading provider of dealer business management software to the agricultural, groundcare, and construction equipment sectors. Our Gold platform gives dealers a single system to run every part of their business — sales, parts, workshop, rental, accounts, and reporting — and is trusted by hundreds of dealers across the UK and Ireland.

Catalyst: Catalyst is a sister Dealer UK Group brand, providing dealer management software to dealership businesses in its own set of verticals. Together, Ibcos and Catalyst cover a broad range of dealership sectors, and this role prospects across both.

Group: Ibcos is part of the Dealer UK Group and Constellation Software Inc. We are investing in cloud, analytics, and connected services to help our customers run more profitable, efficient dealerships, and we are building a sales and marketing team to match that ambition.

Job Overview

The Business Development Representative is a shared, product-neutral outbound role across Catalyst and Ibcos. Working the whole dealer market, the BDR prospects, qualifies, and books meetings — discovering where each dealer is in its system-review cycle and routing the opportunity to the right Dealer UK Group product on fit, then handing a qualified meeting to the closer.

The role exists to free our closers from generating their own pipeline, so they can focus on strategic deals and business cases. It is a top-of-funnel role: it creates and qualifies pipeline into both order books but does not close deals, own accounts, or carry a revenue quota. Success is measured on qualified pipeline created, on identical terms, whichever product a lead is routed to.

This is a home-based role with occasional travel to industry trade shows and events, and to our Poole office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound prospecting: proactively work the dealer market — calls, email sequences, and event follow-up — from a single, brand-agnostic target list.
  • Discovery & qualification: establish each dealer's current system, contract/renewal timing, pain points and requirements, and identify the review window.
  • Product-neutral routing: match each qualified opportunity to the right product — Ibcos Gold or Catalyst — against agreed fit criteria, never force-fitting to hit a number.
  • Meeting hand-off: book qualified meetings for the relevant Ibcos or Catalyst New Business Manager and hand over cleanly with full context.
  • Nurture: keep not-yet-ready dealers on an active cadence so we're first in when a review window opens.
  • CRM discipline: accurately log all activity, discovery notes, and renewal dates — the discovery data is a core asset for both businesses.
  • Pipeline reporting: report activity, qualified opportunities, and pipeline created, split by destination product.
  • Represent Ibcos and Catalyst professionally at industry trade shows and events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
