Are you an ambitious, commercially minded sales professional looking to take the next step in your career within the B2B media and lead generation space?
I'm working with an exciting business operating within the B2B media, advertising and lead generation industry that is looking to bring on board a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to support its continued growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already understands the B2B media or lead generation landscape and is looking to develop their sales career within a growing commercial team. There is also genuine scope for career progression, with the potential to move into an Account Executive role over time for someone who performs well and demonstrates the ability to take on greater responsibility.
The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you will play an important role in driving new business opportunities, identifying prospective clients and building a strong sales pipeline.
You'll work closely with the wider commercial team to engage potential customers, understand their needs and introduce solutions that help businesses achieve their marketing and lead generation objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and research new business opportunities within target markets.
- Proactively engage prospective clients through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email and LinkedIn outreach.
- Generate qualified leads and build a consistent pipeline of potential customers.
- Identify key decision-makers within B2B organisations and establish meaningful commercial relationships.
- Understand clients' marketing, advertising and lead generation challenges to identify relevant opportunities.
- Arrange qualified meetings and sales opportunities for the wider sales team.
- Work towards agreed activity, meeting and pipeline-generation targets.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and senior sales colleagues to develop your understanding of the full sales cycle.
- Maintain accurate prospect and activity records within the CRM.
- Contribute to the company's wider new-business and revenue-growth objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a BDR, SDR or similar business development role within the B2B media, lead generation, content syndication, digital advertising or demand generation industry.
- A good understanding of how B2B marketing and lead generation solutions support businesses in reaching their target audiences and generating sales opportunities.
- Experience with outbound prospecting, lead generation and building a sales pipeline.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage prospective clients.
- A proactive, resilient and target-driven approach to sales.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify potential business opportunities.
- A strong desire to learn, develop and progress within a sales environment.
- The ambition to progress into a full-cycle sales position and take ownership of client relationships over time.
