About Hill Cross Furniture

With more than 25 years experience, Hill Cross Furniture are the leading supplier of Contract Furniture and Banquette Seating to the Hospitality, Healthcare, Leisure, and Workplace sectors. We are well known for the extensive range of quality furniture we supply, as well as for our project management and installation service. This is only possible with great clients and our fantastic team.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for increasing Hill Cross Furniture’s physical presence in with focus on identification of new business opportunities on an outbound basis. You will work to engage with clients, understand their requirements and take their project from inception to order. You will also assist with inbound enquiries to aid the internal sales team in times of elevated levels of enquiry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Converting opportunities to sales
  • Identification of new business opportunities within specific locations through social media channels or otherwise and creating a first point of contact
  • Identification of new business opportunities and wider scope through enquiries to Hill Cross info email box, CRM brochure downloads & sample requests
  • Utilisation of CRM target accounts. Ensure that target accounts are identified within this space for full transparency across the team
  • Making cold calls where appropriate
  • Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings with clients focusing on diary organisation to maximise the number of meetings and minimise costs
  • Showcase the Hill Cross Furniture offering by phone or in person with our client message at the core
  • Attendance of networking events
  • Ensure periodic telephone contact takes place for new clients to ensure maximum output
  • Share marketplace innovations digitally, in person or by phone
  • Inform the marketing team of any appropriate commercial news within the monthly meeting
  • Assisting the Sales and Relationships Director with large projects where needed
