SDR / BDR – SaaS | Newcastle | £40k Basic + £60k OTE

Are you an ambitious SDR/BDR looking for your next move in SaaS, with genuine progression into an Account Executive role?

I’m currently recruiting for a high-growth UK fintech/SaaS business that is going from strength to strength following a recent funding round. They’re now expanding their sales team in Newcastle and are looking for ambitious sales professionals who want to build a long-term career in SaaS.

The Opportunity

You’ll be working with senior decision-makers across UK mid-market businesses, including CFOs, Finance Directors and Finance Managers, helping them understand how modern technology can improve their finance operations.

Your role will include:

  • Outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Creating and managing targeted outreach campaigns
  • Running discovery conversations with prospective customers
  • Understanding genuine business challenges and pain points
  • Qualifying opportunities and booking high-quality meetings for Account Executives
  • Working closely with AEs and Solutions Consultants
  • Managing your own pipeline and activity through the CRM

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll be speaking with businesses that may have outgrown their existing finance systems, rely heavily on spreadsheets, or are experiencing challenges with their current software. The focus is therefore on understanding the customer's business and uncovering genuine opportunities, rather than simply selling a product.

Why Join?

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn, develop, and progress quickly within SaaS sales.

You’ll be working alongside a high-performing, hands-on sales manager who is heavily involved in coaching and development. If you're someone who wants to learn from an experienced manager, receive plenty of support, and continuously improve your sales skills, you'll have the opportunity to do exactly that.

You'll receive regular coaching, guidance, and support from day one, while working alongside experienced AEs and sales professionals.

There is also a clear pathway from SDR → Account Executive, giving you the opportunity to build towards a full-cycle sales career.

You'll be joining at an exciting stage of growth, with the opportunity to help build and shape the Newcastle sales team as it continues to expand.
