Business Development Representative, UK & Europe

London | Full-time | Training provided

About Litecard

Litecard is a marketing platform for mobile wallets. In the same way platforms like Mailchimp and Salesforce help brands communicate through email and SMS, Litecard helps brands engage customers through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

Brands use Litecard to launch digital loyalty cards, memberships, and vouchers that live directly on a customer's phone, then keep those customers engaged with updates, offers, and push notifications. We work with retailers and consumer brands across Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the UK, and Europe.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, your job is to create new business conversations. You'll research brands that are a strong fit for Litecard, identify the right decision-makers, and proactively contact them through email, LinkedIn, and phone. Cold calling is an important part of the role. You'll be expected to pick up the phone, speak confidently with people you've never met before, and turn those conversations into meetings.

You'll also lead early discovery calls, understand how a brand currently manages loyalty and customer engagement, and work closely with our Regional Manager as opportunities progress.

This is designed as an entry point into a long-term sales career. As you develop, you'll take on more of the sales process yourself, with the opportunity to progress into an Account Executive role.

What You'll Do

  • Research retailers and consumer brands across the UK and Europe that could benefit from Litecard
  • Identify senior contacts across loyalty, CRM, lifecycle marketing, digital, and customer experience
  • Prospect consistently through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn
  • Build your own target account and prospect lists
  • Book introductory meetings with relevant decision-makers
  • Lead first calls to understand a prospect's loyalty program, technology stack, and customer engagement strategy
  • Clearly explain how Litecard works in straightforward, non-technical language
  • Qualify opportunities and work with the Regional Manager as conversations progress
  • Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects across multiple channels
  • Attend retail, loyalty, eCommerce, and marketing events and turn new relationships into meetings
  • Keep CRM records accurate and maintain clear notes on every conversation
  • Take increasing ownership of smaller opportunities as your experience grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who We're Looking For

Our core customers are retailers and consumer brands that already invest in loyalty, membership, CRM, or customer engagement.

You don't need previous SaaS experience. We care more about whether you're comfortable speaking to people, willing to prospect consistently, and able to learn quickly.

You'll need to be comfortable with outbound sales. That means sending cold emails, approaching people on LinkedIn, and making cold calls every week rather than waiting for inbound leads.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing role. Graduates are welcome
  • Confidence picking up the phone and speaking with people you haven't met before
  • Comfortable cold calling senior people and handling rejection
  • Strong written communication, particularly for short outbound emails and LinkedIn messages
  • Curious enough to research a company before contacting them
  • Interest in retail, loyalty, marketing, technology, or eCommerce
  • Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own prospecting activity
  • Persistent without being pushy
  • Open to feedback and quick to put it into practice
  • Right to work in the UK

Your Development

You'll receive training across Litecard, mobile wallets, retail technology, outbound prospecting, discovery calls, and sales qualification.

As you become more confident, you'll start owning more of the sales process yourself, including running meetings, presenting Litecard, and managing smaller opportunities.

The natural progression from this role is into an Account Executive position, where you'll manage opportunities from the first conversation through to signed customer.

What We Offer

  • Full training on Litecard, the mobile wallet market, and B2B sales
  • A clear progression path into an Account Executive role
  • Direct exposure to company leadership and experienced salespeople
  • Real responsibility from an early stage
  • Experience selling into recognized retail and consumer brands
  • Opportunities to attend industry events across the UK and Europe
  • Flexible working with a London/UK base
