Business Development Representative

£33,000 per annum | Full-time | Falkirk, Scotland | Office-based

The Benholm Group is one of the UK’s leading commercial planting companies. For over 30 years, we’ve been transforming workplaces, hospitality venues, retail environments, and public spaces through creative planting, living walls, and biophilic design.

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team and help us create new business opportunities across the UK.

The role

This is a lead generation and opportunity development role rather than a traditional sales position.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Identifying potential clients
  • Starting conversations with key decision-makers
  • Understanding where Benholm could add value
  • Creating qualified opportunities for our sales team and Directors to progress

If you enjoy researching businesses, speaking to new people, asking good questions, and opening doors, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing

  • Research and identify new business opportunities across targeted sectors throughout the UK
  • Connect with key decision-makers and introduce them to Benholm
  • Have meaningful conversations to understand potential client needs and opportunities
  • Qualify leads before passing them to the sales team
  • Book qualified appointments and introductory meetings for our Directors
  • Build relationships through telephone outreach, networking, and consistent follow-up
  • Support the continued growth of our UK-wide network, including opportunities in London
  • Maintain accurate and detailed prospect information within our CRM
  • Provide clear handovers to the sales team to progress specifications, quotations, and proposals
  • Share useful market feedback, trends, and insights with the wider team
  • Work towards agreed targets for conversations, qualified leads, appointments, and pipeline created

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
