Job Type

Full-time

Salary

Competitive basic salary + uncapped commission

Company Description

At TrustEvo, we're making it easier for people to access quality financial advice. We connect individuals with FCA-regulated financial advisers who can help them navigate important financial decisions, including pensions, investments, retirement planning and tax-efficient strategies. Our approach is simple: quality over quantity. We focus on meaningful conversations, well-qualified introductions and ensuring people are connected with advisers suited to their circumstances. We're a growing, ambitious business with a strong focus on performance, customer experience and doing things properly. We're looking for driven, confident and commercially minded individuals to join our team and play a key role in our continued growth.

Role Description

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to engage with individuals who have expressed an interest in financial advice, understand their circumstances and arrange qualified appointments with our network of financial advisers. This is a phone-based sales role where your ability to build rapport, ask the right questions and confidently guide conversations will directly influence your success. You'll be working with leads generated through our marketing activity, so your focus will be on turning initial interest into meaningful conversations and confirmed appointments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contacting and engaging prospective clients through inbound and outbound calls.
  • Building rapport quickly and establishing trust with individuals from different backgrounds.
  • Understanding prospects' financial circumstances, goals and reasons for seeking advice.
  • Qualifying leads against clear criteria to ensure they're suitable for introduction.
  • Explaining TrustEvo's service and the benefits of speaking with a regulated financial adviser.
  • Booking high-quality appointments and ensuring prospects are properly prepared.
  • Following up with prospective clients to maximise engagement and conversion.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, call notes and appointment details.
  • Working towards clear performance targets covering activity, appointment quality and conversion.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to improve processes, lead quality and customer experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll be responsible for introducing and arranging conversations with advisers, not providing regulated financial advice.

  • A confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • A consultative sales approach, with excellent questioning and listening skills.
  • The ability to handle objections confidently and professionally.
  • Resilience, self-motivation and a genuine drive to exceed targets.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines.
  • The discipline and independence required to succeed in a remote working environment.
  • Experience in financial services is an advantage, but not essential. We're more interested in your attitude, communication skills and ability to deliver results.
