Location: Birmingham (hybrid and flexible working)

Salary: £26,000 to £32,000 depending on experience, with £12,000 to £15,000 OTE

The Opportunity

The Business Development Representative will sit at the heart of new business growth. This role is focused on engaging potential customers, starting meaningful conversations, qualifying early-stage opportunities, and supplying high-quality leads to the wider sales team.

You’ll be working in a performance‑driven but encouraging sales environment, with clear targets, ongoing coaching, and strong progression pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities for the business
  • Reach out to target accounts using phone, email, and multi‑channel outreach
  • Act as the initial point of contact and brand representative for prospective customers
  • Consistently achieve and surpass weekly activity targets and performance metrics
  • Understand prospect challenges and capture high-level commercial insights
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales teams to develop a strong pipeline

About You

This role would be well suited to someone who:

  • Has twelve to eighteen months of experience in a commercially focused role
  • Has demonstrated success against sales targets or performance KPIs
  • Is comfortable speaking with senior decision‑makers as well as operational contacts
  • Can identify business needs and effectively articulate clear value propositions
  • Is well organised, detail orientated, and manages their workload effectively
  • Brings energy, ambition, and a results‑focused mindset to their work
  • Is degree educated or can demonstrate equivalent commercial experience
