Gen25 is seeking a Business Development Representative to support the continued growth of our UK business.
Reporting to the Commercial Director UK, you will identify prospective clients, open new conversations, and develop qualified opportunities across our business consulting, Salesforce, AI, data, and technology services. You’ll research organisations and their challenges, engage decision-makers through thoughtful outreach, and help turn early interest into meaningful sales conversations.
This role combines proactive prospecting with curiosity and commercial judgement. You’ll work closely with our consultants, marketing team, and technology partners to follow up on campaigns, events, referrals, and inbound enquiries. You’ll also help us learn what resonates in the UK market and improve how we generate new business.
We’re looking for someone with one to two years of relevant experience who enjoys building relationships, is comfortable picking up the phone, and wants to develop a career in complex B2B sales. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days a week in the office, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
At Gen25, we try to move fast, think big, and have fun while we’re at it!
Key Responsibilities
- Account research and targeting: Identify prospective UK clients, relevant stakeholders, business priorities, and opportunities where Gen25 can add value.
- Outbound prospecting: Create and deliver personalised outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, events, and partner introductions.
- Opportunity qualification: Understand a prospect’s challenges, priorities, stakeholders, timing, and potential project scope, then agree appropriate next steps.
- Meeting development: Arrange and prepare qualified discovery meetings for the Commercial Director UK and relevant consulting specialists, ensuring a clear handover and effective follow-up.
- Campaign and event follow-up: Engage prospects from marketing campaigns, webinars, events, partner activity, and inbound enquiries.
- Partner collaboration: Work with colleagues and partners, including Salesforce and DevRev, to identify accounts and develop relevant approaches to market.
- Pipeline management: Maintain accurate CRM records and provide clear visibility of activity, qualified opportunities, and pipeline progression.
- Market insight: Share feedback from prospects to help sharpen our propositions, campaigns, and target-account strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
