Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative reporting to the Head of Global Business Development, you'll play a critical role in generating qualified pipeline and driving new business growth across Nasdaq's Calypso business — engaging banks, capital markets firms, asset managers, insurance companies, and treasury organisations across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.

You'll thrive in this position if you're commercially curious, data-driven, and passionate about financial technology, and you bring a proactive, strategic approach to enterprise prospecting in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own pipeline creation targets across the assigned territory, contributing directly to regional and global growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute account-based prospecting strategies to identify key stakeholders, business initiatives, and technology transformation opportunities within target financial institutions.
  • Generate qualified opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, event follow-up, and collaboration with Marketing and Partner teams.
  • Leverage AI-powered sales tools and data platforms to improve account prioritisation, prospect research, and outreach personalisation.
  • Partner with Account Executives, Marketing, and Solution Consultants to execute coordinated account plans and drive pipeline progression.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
