Business Development Representative — Glenigan, powered by Hubexo
Location: Bournemouth or London Blackfriars
Hybrid
Salary: Basic + Monthly commission
£32,000 on-target earnings - Uncapped commission
The Role
Glenigan helps contractors, manufacturers and suppliers see what’s being built, who’s involved and when to make contact. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll introduce prospective customers to that intelligence and arrange qualified meetings with our Business Development Managers.
This is a high-volume cold outbound role, with phone calls at its heart. You’ll research prospects, earn their attention and explore whether Glenigan could help their business. You don’t need years of SaaS experience, but you do need to be comfortable picking up the phone, hearing “no” and learning from each conversation.
What You’ll Do
- Research businesses and relevant contacts, using tools including LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Reach prospective customers by phone, supported by email, LinkedIn and other digital channels.
- Ask questions to understand their needs and qualify whether a meeting would be worthwhile.
- Arrange meetings with our Business Development Managers and follow through to help prospects attend.
- Share useful customer insight and clear handover notes with your sales colleagues.
- Keep your activity and follow-up accurate in HubSpot, using feedback to improve your approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
