Role Purpose

Location: Ruddington, Nottinghamshire

Department: Sales

Working Pattern: Hybrid (Four days a week in the head office)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-driven individual to join our growing Business Development Representative team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on Ideagen's growth, by engaging in outbound prospecting activities, identifying key decision-makers, qualifying leads, and selling our value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engaging in outbound prospecting activities.
  • Identifying key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organisations.
  • Qualifying and assessing leads based on predefined criteria.
  • Effectively communicating Ideagen's value proposition and key differentiators.
  • Collaborating closely with the sales team, contributing to the development and execution of sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Engaging in consultative selling, actively listening to prospects' requirements and recommending tailored software solutions.
  • Utilising CRM software to efficiently manage and track sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline.
  • Actively participating in sales meetings, training programmes, and professional development activities.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, identifying potential opportunities for business growth.

The ideal candidate for this position will be eager to learn, receptive to training and coaching, and have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong self-motivation, proactivity, and a results-driven attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A resilient and persistent attitude, able to handle rejection and thrive in a competitive sales environment.
