The Opportunity
Riskonnect, Inc. is seeking a candidate for the position of Business Development Representative (BDR). The BDR is responsible for generating qualified meetings, sales qualified leads (SQLs), and early-stage pipeline through inbound follow-up, outbound prospecting, and consultative qualification. This role requires strong communication, persistence, attention to detail, and the ability to engage prospects across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other approved channels. To be successful, the BDR must understand key business issues, identify prospect needs, and partner closely with Sales to create high-quality opportunities for Riskonnect solutions.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A FIT?
Responsibilities
- Execute inbound follow-up and outbound prospecting activities using Salesloft, Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and other approved tools to generate qualified meetings, SQLs, and pipeline opportunities.
- Run multi-channel prospecting campaigns through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other approved engagement channels to engage target accounts and create sales opportunities.
- Conduct discovery and qualification conversations to identify business challenges, buying signals, and fit for Riskonnect solutions.
- Build relationships across multiple stakeholders and personas within target accounts to uncover opportunities and advance engagement.
- Execute within assigned territories, account segments, and target account lists to achieve pipeline generation goals.
- Partner with Sales to identify, prioritize, and prospect target accounts aligned to territory and pipeline goals.
- Review inbound engagement, campaign activity, and account signals to prioritize timely prospect follow-up.
- Develop and nurture new leads through the early stages of the sales process.
- Assist Regional Sales Teams with pipeline management and prospect follow-up.
- Maintain timely, professional follow-up with prospects throughout the early-stage sales process.
- Maintain accurate prospect, activity, qualification, and opportunity data within Salesforce, Salesloft, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and related systems.
- Consistently achieve activity, meeting, SQL, and pipeline generation targets established by management.

Required Qualifications
- Data and results-driven approach to work, with a proven ability to contribute to lead growth, SQL creation, and pipeline generation.
- Ability to interpret prospect, account, and activity data to prioritize outreach and improve prospecting effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of B2B prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline creation, and professional written communication.
- Experience executing outbound sales cadences, qualifying prospects, and setting meetings for sales teams.
- 1-2+ years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, lead qualification, or a similar prospecting role.
- 4-year degree.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage expectations in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Hybrid: This position requires working in the office two days per week.
- Language: Fluency in English plus French and/or German is highly preferred.
