Business Development Representative

The Opportunity

We’re working with a fast-growing, venture-backed technology company that is building an innovative platform for businesses. As the company continues to scale, they’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative to join their commercial team and play a key role in generating new opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on sales experience, significant responsibility, and a clear route for progression.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and research prospective customers
  • Build targeted outbound campaigns across phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Engage senior decision-makers and create new sales conversations
  • Personalise outreach based on individual accounts and prospects
  • Qualify inbound interest and support initial sales conversations
  • Follow up and nurture prospects over time
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other commercial teams
  • Test different approaches and continuously improve your outreach
  • Take ownership of additional projects outside your day-to-day responsibilities

About You

We're looking for someone with 1–3 years' experience who is keen to build a career in a high-growth technology environment.

You’ll ideally be:

  • Ambitious, driven, and motivated by targets
  • Ideally have worked for a Fintech, worked in finance, or studied Finance/Accounting at University
  • Confident speaking to new people
  • A strong communicator who can build rapport quickly
  • Organised and disciplined
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Comfortable picking up the phone and engaging prospects
  • Excited by the opportunity to join a growing company and help build something from the ground up
  • Interested in developing a long-term career in sales
