As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a key role in driving Prophix's growth by generating qualified sales opportunities through outbound prospecting. This role is ideal for a motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and wants to make an impact in the B2B SaaS industry.
What You Will Do
- Conduct outbound prospecting efforts via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads for the sales team.
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers within target accounts across mid-market and enterprise segments.
- Conduct research on prospects and key accounts to personalize outreach and develop strategic messaging.
- Set up high-quality meetings for the sales team by effectively qualifying potential customers based on their needs and fit for Prophix solutions.
- Collaborate closely with marketing to align outbound campaigns with ongoing demand generation initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and lead progression within Salesforce CRM.
- Continuously improve prospecting strategies by analyzing performance metrics and adjusting tactics accordingly.
- Stay up to date with Prophix products, industry trends, and competitors to effectively position our solutions.
- Partner with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations, to optimize lead-to-opportunity conversion.
- Participate in sales training and coaching sessions to enhance skills and performance.

Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a B2B sales development, business development, or related role in a SaaS environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages and hold engaging conversations.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed performance goals in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools like Outreach or Highspot.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn with a positive and resilient attitude.
- Strong research and organizational skills to effectively prioritize outreach efforts.
- Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, and data review.
- Able to learn new tools and adapt as technology and workflows evolve.
- Curious, open to new approaches, and motivated to continuously improve.
- Collaborative mindset when working across teams and with AI supported tooling.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger.
- Experience working in the financial performance management or FP&A software space.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
What Success Looks Like
- 30 days: You know our platform, our customers, and how your team operates. You’ve completed onboarding and are contributing to live work.
- 90 days: You’re working independently, owning deliverables end to end, and building relationships across functions and regions.
- 6 months: Your fingerprints are on something real. You’ve improved a process, shipped something meaningful, or earned a seat at the table on a decision that matters.
