What you’ll do:
While the exact role varies by startup, typical responsibilities include:
- Building the top of the sales funnel: prospecting, outreach, and qualifying leads.
- Working closely with founders or early sales leaders to refine messaging and outreach.
- Speaking directly with decision-makers at startups and scaleups.
- Playing an integral role in a startup’s growth, where every new customer counts.
Progression is often fast, with many SDRs moving into Account Exec or Account Manager roles within 12-18 months. We’ve seen a few of our alumni get promoted to sales team lead within the year (& then come back to hire for their team via Jumpstart!).
Is this you?
We’re looking for people who:
- Have 1–3 years of experience in a sales-adjacent or customer-facing role (e.g. recruitment, teaching, estate agency, fundraising, partnerships, hospitality).
- Are motivated by exceeding targets & can demonstrate where you’ve done this before.
- Are confident, persuasive communicators who can build rapport quickly.
- Are ambitious to accelerate their career in sales and open to the fast pace of startups.
