Business Development Sales Associate

Alternative Investments | London

Edgworth Partners is working with an established global alternative investment firm seeking to appoint a Business Development Sales Associate to its London team.

The firm invests across GP stakes and supports alternative investment managers operating across hedge funds, private credit, venture capital, real assets and other private market strategies. Its institutional client programmes include commingled funds, separately managed accounts and customized investment solutions.

The role will primarily support the CEO and senior Business Development professionals with global fundraising activity, alongside broader exposure to investor relations, marketing and commercial value creation across the firm’s portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing commercial briefs and materials for prospective investor meetings
  • Attending meetings, producing high quality notes and coordinating follow-up activity
  • Managing sales pipelines and maintaining accurate CRM records
  • Working with internal teams to develop presentations and investor collateral
  • Supporting recurring investor relations activities and ensuring materials are client-ready
  • Contributing to marketing, conference preparation and external communications
  • Participating in commercial value creation discussions with selected portfolio companies

  • Two to four years of experience within a leading consultancy, investment bank, advisory firm or relevant asset manager
  • Client-facing and project management experience
  • Exposure to alternative asset management, private equity, hedge funds or private markets
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to execute accurately against demanding timelines
  • A proactive, accountable and collaborative approach
  • The confidence and motivation to develop into an increasingly external and commercial role
