At Altro, we're looking for a Business Development Consultant to join our Floors and Walls Sales team due to the retirement of a long-standing member of the team.

You'll work closely with distributor branches, their sales teams, and key contractor customers, helping to identify opportunities, increase product awareness, and deliver sustainable sales growth.

Working as part of a regional Business Development team, you'll collaborate with colleagues who focus on specification sales while you lead activity within the distributor and contractor market.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Building and developing strong relationships with flooring and walling distributors across the territory.
  • Working closely with distributor branch teams to increase awareness, demand, and sales of Altro products.
  • Supporting contractors and end users through the distributor network.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing and prospective distributor accounts.
  • Creating and delivering a territory business plan to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Planning and managing effective customer coverage across the East Anglia region.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and activity within our CRM system.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Customer Care, and Marketing.

  • Gathering and sharing market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
