Role Description
This is a full-time, Business Development Specialist role split between home-based and a few days in London. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities across affinity insurance and related services, including prospecting, lead generation, and managing a sales pipeline. The specialist will conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity, using these insights to shape proposals and commercial strategies.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Preparing and delivering presentations
- Coordinating tender responses
- Supporting contract negotiations in collaboration with internal teams such as account management, operations, and compliance
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective partners
- Ensuring high levels of customer service
- Contributing to revenue growth and long-term partnerships
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to identify opportunities, assess performance, and support data-driven decisions.
- Excellent Communication skills to engage stakeholders, present proposals clearly, and build effective internal and external relationships.
- Lead Generation experience, including prospecting, pipeline management, and follow-up to convert leads into sustainable business.
- Solid Customer Service skills to ensure partner satisfaction, manage expectations, and support long-term client retention.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or affinity partnerships is beneficial, along with familiarity with FCA-regulated environments.
- A track record in business development, account management, or sales, ideally within B2B settings, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software are advantageous.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in business, marketing, finance, or a related field is desirable.
