Role Description
The Business Development Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for Linear Shipping Ltd. This role involves generating leads, researching potential markets and customers, and nurturing relationships through email, calls, and virtual meetings. The specialist will prepare and present tailored freight and logistics solutions, collaborate with operations teams to align proposals with service capabilities, and follow up on inquiries to convert prospects into clients.

Day-to-day tasks include:
- Maintaining an organized pipeline in CRM tools
- Tracking performance metrics
- Providing feedback on market trends and customer needs
- Supporting marketing and sales initiatives, such as campaign outreach and content input, to strengthen the company’s presence in key logistics and supply chain segments.

- Strong communication and customer service skills to build trust, manage inquiries, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in lead generation and market research to identify prospects, qualify opportunities, and understand industry trends.
- Solid analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate pricing and service options, and support informed business decisions.
- Experience or interest in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or import/export services.
- Comfort working in a remote, part-time setting with reliable internet access and effective time management.
- Ability to use CRM systems, productivity tools, and online communication platforms to track and advance opportunities.
- Relevant education in business, logistics, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
