New Business Development Executive / Manager – Corporate IT Sales
Location: Reading (Office-based 3/4 days per week + Field-based)
Salary: Up to £60,000 Basic DOE + Uncapped Commission

About My Client
My client is a leading UK technology solutions provider, helping organisations unlock the power of technology through innovative IT hardware, services, and solutions. With a strong reputation for customer service, technical expertise, and long-term partnerships, my client is continuing to grow their Corporate and Commercial division. Due to this expansion, my client is looking for experienced and ambitious New Business Development Executives, Business Development Managers, and Corporate Account Managers to join their growing team in Reading.

The Role
As a New Business Development Executive / Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business within the corporate and commercial end-user market. You will identify and engage new customers, build your own sales pipeline, and develop profitable relationships with businesses across a range of industries. Working with a broad portfolio of IT hardware, services, and technology solutions, you will help customers find the right solutions while achieving monthly and quarterly gross profit targets.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and win new corporate and commercial customers through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and targeted sales activity.
- Account Development: Build and manage long-term customer relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Pipeline Generation: Utilise data platforms, CRM systems, and market intelligence tools to source leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Consultative Selling: Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate IT hardware, services, and technology solutions.
- Sales Performance: Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly gross profit targets, with a Year 1 target of approximately £100,000–£150,000 GP.
- Sales Operations: Prepare quotations, manage opportunities, process orders, and work towards agreed quote-to-order conversion targets.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports to support business intelligence and performance tracking.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, technical, operations, and wider sales teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Market Development: Stay up to date with technology trends, customer needs, and industry developments, representing the business professionally at events and meetings.

About You
My client is looking for commercially driven sales professionals who enjoy winning new business, building relationships, and delivering results. You will ideally have:
- Experience in IT sales, preferably within a technology reseller, VAR, MSP, or IT solutions provider.
- A proven track record of winning new business across the SME and/or Corporate end-user market.
- Experience selling IT hardware, managed services, software, or technology solutions.
- A strong understanding of consultative and solution-led selling.
- Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven approach.
- The ability to manage your own pipeline and work independently.
- Strong commercial awareness and a focus on profitable sales growth.
- The ambition to develop a successful, long-term career in technology sales.
- Experience working with customers in sectors such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Finance, Utilities, Charities, FMCG, or other corporate environments would be advantageous.
