Role Description

The Business Development Specialist is a full-time, travel, and office role based in London, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, developing leads, and nurturing relationships with prospects and partners. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, preparing proposals and presentations, and supporting negotiations to close deals. The Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine value propositions, improve customer engagement, and contribute to revenue growth and strategic expansion. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in CRM systems and providing regular performance and pipeline reports to leadership.

  • Strong Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, trend analysis, and problem-solving to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent Communication abilities, with clear written and verbal skills for client interaction, presentations, and internal collaboration.
  • Lead Generation and prospecting skills, with experience in qualifying leads, managing pipelines, and supporting deal closure.
  • Market Research capabilities to gather insights on competitors, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Customer Service skills to build trust, handle inquiries professionally, and foster long-term business relationships.
  • Experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within logistics, trade, technology, or related sectors is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, and reporting tools).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet agreed timelines.
