Role Description
This full-time Business Development Specialist role is a hybrid position based in Greater London, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The specialist will identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate leads, and build relationships with prospective and existing clients in sectors that require heavy and complex lifting solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research
- Preparing proposals
- Coordinating with operations teams to align service offerings with client needs

The role involves regular communication with clients, attending meetings on-site or virtually, supporting bids and tenders, and providing input into sales and marketing strategies. The specialist will also track performance metrics, report on business development activities, and collaborate with colleagues to improve customer experience and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to assess markets, interpret data, and evaluate opportunities.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service abilities to engage clients, present solutions, and manage relationships professionally.
- Proven experience in Lead Generation and Market Research within B2B or industrial services environments.
- Familiarity with business development practices, sales pipelines, and CRM tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, managing time and priorities between office, site visits, and remote work.
- Solid organizational and negotiation skills, with attention to detail in proposals and contracts.
- Experience or strong interest in construction, logistics, lifting operations, or related industries is an advantage.
- Relevant education in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
