Business Development Specialist
Blue Legal is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Business Development Specialist to join its London office. The successful candidate will provide marketing and business development support across key practice areas and sectors, working closely with global BD teams to deliver campaigns, pitches, client development initiatives and profile-raising activity.
The Responsibilities:
- Draft and coordinate pitches, RFP responses, panel submissions and proposals, producing high-quality capability statements, presentations and supporting materials.
- Support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing and business development campaigns across digital, social media, email and internal communications channels.
- Coordinate thought leadership initiatives, including webinars, client briefings and articles, working closely with lawyers, external partners and wider marketing teams.
- Support key client development programmes, helping to deliver targeted initiatives that strengthen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Coordinate legal directory and award submissions, including Chambers and Legal 500, undertaking research and maintaining deal and experience information across key practice areas.
- Support the delivery of in-person, external and virtual events, coordinating logistics, materials, speakers, invitations and post-event follow-up.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, distribution lists and client activity records while supporting social media activity, lawyer profiles and wider ad hoc business development initiatives.

The Candidate:
- A minimum of two to three years' marketing and business development experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment, with exposure to pitches, campaigns, events and client development.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong CRM and data management skills; experience with digital marketing and email platforms such as Vuture would be advantageous.
