Protecting What Matters. Powering the Future of Naval Technology.

We're looking for a Sales Manager to join our Operational Services & Support business. Based at one of our UK sites (Loudwater, Greenford or Weymouth), you'll play a key role in driving strategic growth by identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities across the UK and international defence market, with hybrid working available.

This role is open to hybrid and/or flexible working. We encourage you to apply and discuss your preferred working pattern with us.

About Us

Ultra Maritime is a global leader in advanced maritime defence solutions. We operate at the forefront of innovation, delivering technologies that protect lives, secure nations, and enable a safer, more sustainable world. At Ultra Maritime, we're committed to helping you reach your full potential. If you meet some, but not all of the criteria, we still encourage you to apply. We value passion, curiosity, and the drive to make a difference. To support your growth, we offer industry-leading development programmes, mentorship from some of the brightest minds in maritime technology, and sponsorship towards a Level 5 qualification with the Institute of Sales Professionals.

What you'll do

  • Support the generation and execution of the Operational Services & Support segment strategy aligned to company growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with UK and international Defence Procurement Agencies and Prime Contractors to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Monitor the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) and other applicable procurement portals to identify relevant opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Qualify pursuits and gain endorsement for bid submission through the Ultra Maritime Gate Review process.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful bid submissions, coordinating with the Head of Bids and Proposals to align with company processes and best practice.
  • Lead customer negotiations alongside the Commercial, Programmes and Engineering functions to successful conclusion.
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure proposals meet customer requirements and compliance standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
