Are you an experienced and commercially focused Business Director looking for the opportunity to lead the growth and development of a brand-new specialist rehabilitation service?
Active Neuro Manchester is an exciting new specialist rehabilitation service preparing to open, providing rehabilitation for people with neurological conditions, spinal injuries and polytrauma. We are looking for a Business Director to join us at this formative stage and play a pivotal role in establishing the service, developing our presence across the region and driving sustainable growth from the outset.
This is a unique opportunity to build a service rather than inherit one. Working closely with our clinical and operational leadership teams, you will help shape the commercial strategy for Active Neuro Manchester, establish our position within the specialist rehabilitation market and develop the relationships and referral networks needed to make the service successful.
Role Overview
As Business Director, you will take a lead role in developing strong relationships with case managers, solicitors, insurers, commissioners, healthcare professionals and other key referral partners. You will build awareness of the new service, develop a strong referral pipeline and ensure that prospective clients and referrers experience a responsive, professional and clinically credible pathway from initial enquiry through to admission or commencement of rehabilitation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
