50 Sport is The Sports Entertainment Agency.

We build and grow social communities, deliver entertainment-led creative campaigns, and drive sponsorship value; connecting fans, brands, and rights holders worldwide. Uniting sport, entertainment, and culture through industry-leading creativity, social media, strategy and performance for clients including Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team, FIFA World Cup 2026, FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Prime Video Sport, Jim Beam and Qatar Airways.

Due to a number of recent business wins and existing client demand, we are looking to bolster our growing team with a Business Director. We’re looking for a Business Director to lead and grow a portfolio of key client relationships, acting as a senior, trusted partner to some of the biggest brands and rights holders in sport.

At the heart of the role is client leadership: building deep relationships with senior stakeholders, understanding their businesses and ambitions, anticipating what they need next and continually identifying opportunities for us to add greater value.

The Business Director will set the vision and ambition for their clients, ensuring we consistently deliver an exceptional standard of thinking, service and work. They will bring together the best of our strategy, editorial, creative and production expertise, creating strong partnerships between our clients and agency teams.

They will have ultimate responsibility for the health and growth of their client portfolio – from the strength of senior relationships and client satisfaction, through to revenue growth, profitability and the quality of our overall agency partnership.

This is a role for someone who is relentlessly proactive. They won’t wait for a brief or a problem to land. They will stay close to their clients’ businesses, understand what is happening in their world and the wider sporting and cultural landscape, and proactively bring ideas, opportunities and solutions to the table.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Business Director will also play an important leadership role within Client Services and the wider agency. They will lead by example, setting the pace and establishing consistently high standards for client leadership, commercial thinking, communication and proactivity.

The remit also encompasses unlocking growth within existing relationships and playing a pivotal role in new business. The right person will be commercially minded and entrepreneurial, able to spot opportunities, develop compelling propositions and turn great client relationships into broader, longer-term partnerships.

They will be equally comfortable discussing a client’s business priorities with a CMO, challenging a brief with our Strategy team, reviewing a creative idea or identifying an entirely new opportunity for the agency.

A passion for and belief in the power of sport is mandatory.

WHAT YOU’RE EXCELLENT AT:

  • Building trusted relationships with senior clients, becoming a valued partner rather than simply an agency contact.
  • Growing client relationships, with a proven track record of identifying, shaping and converting new opportunities.
  • Being proactive, anticipating client needs, challenges and opportunities before they become briefs.
  • Setting exceptionally high standards for client service, strategic thinking and the quality of our work.
  • Understanding your clients’ businesses, their commercial objectives, audiences and wider organisational priorities.
  • Providing senior counsel, bringing confidence, perspective and constructive challenge to client conversations.
  • Connecting the dots, spotting opportunities across different briefs, teams, channels and areas of a client’s business.
  • Commercial leadership, taking ownership of revenue, profitability, forecasting and the overall commercial health of your accounts.

THE ROLE IS FOR YOU, IF:

  • An ambitious, independent and fast-moving agency environment excites you
  • You fancy taking on the industry’s biggest sporting brands
  • You want to build meaningful relationships with some of the biggest brands and rights holders in sport.
  • You believe excellent client service means being proactive, challenging and commercially minded
  • You naturally think “what’s next?” and are constantly looking for ways to make our client partnerships stronger.
  • You have a healthy dose of positivity with great appreciation for the need to scenario plan
  • You’re passionate about how our industry can positively affect change around sustainability and DE&I
  • You believe in the potential of women’s sport
