Business Director

Position Overview

The Business Director will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives that enhance and expand direct sales efforts. This role requires an experienced sales professional with a strong understanding of strategic alliance dynamics, business development, direct selling techniques, and relationship management on both the transactional and strategic level.

Responsibilities

Strategic Development

  • Formulate and lead the strategic roadmap for partner alliances and direct selling efforts that aligns with the Consulting business’s strategy.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritise high-impact partnership opportunities that drive market share growth and revenue generation.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and direct clients, ensuring alignment on goals and objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partner communications, client engagement, and direct sales efforts.

Revenue Contribution

  • Deliver an agreed target, set by the Managing Director for monthly, quarterly, and overall annual sales.

Market Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape affecting both partner strategies and direct selling initiatives.
  • Analyse performance metrics for both partnerships and direct sales, providing insights to optimise collaboration and sales efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with a variety of internal teams to ensure that partnership initiatives and direct selling strategies are effectively integrated into the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience owning C-level relationships within strategic alliance partners (e.g. Global Partner Director, VP Alliances, Regional CEO-counterparts)
  • Experience across multi-region or multi-market operations
  • Experience of operating at Director level in an equivalent consulting or sales organisation
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of ISV and/or system integration partners and meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Professional experience of structuring high-value alliances (i.e. with Microsoft)
  • Expertise with commercial & contract negotiation
  • Deep comfort with Microsoft and the associated enterprise offerings
