Citi Markets is looking for a Business Disruption Risk Analyst to join its 1LOD Business Disruption & Safety Risk (BDSR) team, playing a central role in delivering Citi's regulatory Operational Resilience Programme across Markets. In this position, you will assess and manage business disruption and operational risks, ensuring Citi operates within its defined risk appetite while contributing to the bank's financial stability and long-term resilience. This is an opportunity to shape governance, strengthen controls, and support enterprise-level risk frameworks at one of the world's leading global banks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead risk and control assessments across business disruption and operational risk areas, providing clear mitigation recommendations that protect Citi and its clients.
  • Support the delivery of Citi's regulatory Operational Resilience Programme, executing enterprise framework milestones within the Markets business and ensuring timely progress against key regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the quarterly audit process end-to-end, coordinating responses to audit, compliance, and regulatory findings and driving remediation efforts to completion.
  • Monitor control exceptions and breaches, develop interim control tools, and identify opportunities to enhance or automate existing control processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) risk reviews, integrating risk and control responsibilities across business units to maintain sound governance standards.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured risk reporting and senior management communications on emerging risks, programme developments, and control performance metrics.
  • Support business disruption and crisis management strategies, contributing to BDSR risk stripe management and responding swiftly to risk events as they arise.
  • Evaluate risk implications in business decisions, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and escalate control issues promptly with root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
