Business & Economics Teacher | Brentwood | January 2027 Start
Are you a passionate Business & Economics Teacher looking for your next career opportunity? We are seeking an outstanding Business and Economics specialist to join an Outstanding secondary school in Brentwood from January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher to inspire students, deliver engaging and academically challenging lessons, and contribute to the continued success of a high-performing school. You will play a key role in developing students' understanding of business principles, economic theory and real-world financial issues, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for future academic and professional success.
The Role | Business & Economics Teacher
- Full-time Business & Economics Teacher position from January 2027
- Teach Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5
- Deliver engaging, challenging and academically rigorous lessons
- Develop students' understanding of business operations, economic principles, markets and financial decision-making
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and independent thinking
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to maximise achievement
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and departmental development
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and drive outstanding teaching and learning
- Promote a culture of high expectations, academic excellence and continuous improvement

About You
- PGCE with QTS from a recognised UK university
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related subject from a recognised UK university
- Strong academic background with excellent subject knowledge in Business and Economics
- Proven experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics at KS4 and KS5
- A track record of delivering strong academic outcomes and supporting student progress
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for Business and Economics education
- High expectations of students and a commitment to securing outstanding outcomes
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- A proactive approach to professional development and curriculum innovation
