Business Governance & Controls Analyst
Location: London – Hybrid role (3 days in the office and 2 working from home)
Contract: Initially 6 months, with possibility of extension
Rate: £245/day gross – Outside IR35
Experience: 3+ years
Industry: Banking / Financial Services
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Product Governance activities: including new product approval materials, governance records, and Approved Product List updates.
- Coordinate Product Governance Committee and UK governance forums: agendas, papers, minutes, actions, and approvals.
- Maintain policy & procedure governance trackers and review cycles: ensuring compliance evidence is properly recorded.
- Support the UK Branch governance and control framework: including control documentation and evidence of control performance.
- Coordinate RCSA, Business Risk Assessments, control attestations, and other first-line risk activities.
- Prepare quarterly governance returns, management reporting packs, and audit evidence.
- Maintain governance repositories: including committee papers, minutes, action logs, charters, policy approvals, risk registers, and control artefacts.
- Work closely with business teams, support functions, and second-line stakeholders: to ensure timely completion of governance activities.

What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience: in a similar Governance / Controls / Risk role
- Previous experience: within Banking / Financial Services
- Understanding: of UK banking governance and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge: of operational control frameworks and reporting environments
- Experience: with RCSA, risk registers, and control documentation
- Experience working within a matrix organisation
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a relevant discipline preferred
