Our award-winning graduate programme provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets. As a graduate, you will join the FTSE Russell Division. The division is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where instant reaction and long-term vision are equally important.
Our FTSE Russell division helps investors make better-informed decisions, for indices and benchmarking solutions. FTSE Russell provides category-defining indices across asset classes and investment objectives to create new possibilities for the global investment community.
To be eligible you must be a graduate who has completed your studies in 2026 or a final year undergraduate or Master’s student and have completed all the requirements of your course before summer 2027.
Highlights of the Graduate Programme
- Progress through a 12-month development journey aiming to build foundational skills that are key for your future success
- Build your foundational knowledge of LSEG, Financial Markets, and the business during your global induction
- Divisional-led inductions to immerse graduates into the business through team-led overviews and introductions
- Participate in group projects which are aligned to LSEG goals
- Meet in person with your cohort at ‘Ignite’, the programme mid-point skills offsite. Explore key knowledge areas and skills
- Access opportunities to earn industry recognized qualifications, including 5 study days during the programme
- Connect with the global early careers community and opportunities and contribute to wider society via CSR initiatives and volunteering opportunities
Our graduates join us on a permanent basis, and from day one you will be aligned to FTSE Russell, which will allow you to develop within a secure framework.
This is a great opportunity for students studying a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics subject or Finance, Economics with a strong inclination towards FinTech/Technology to apply their skills to a business-related role. During the recruitment process, we will get to know your skills and interests and how they align with the needs of the business to place you in your first rotation.
What We Are Looking For:

You should have a demonstrable interest in financial markets, which you’ve built through your studies, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
- A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
- Individuals who are able to connect the dots and think strategically.
- The environment we work in is fast-paced, you’ll need to demonstrate focus, resilience, and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
- People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process.

Recruitment Process:
The first stage of the recruitment process involves making an application and submitting your resume.
The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. The assessment is designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
The second stage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength-based interview style.
The final stage is a half-day assessment centre which involves several different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.
