Business Growth Manager
Private Client Growth | Cardiff & Newport
We are not looking to maintain the business - we are looking to significantly grow it.
Right at Home Cardiff & Newport is seeking a commercially driven, relationship-focused Business Growth Manager who can generate private enquiries, build trusted referral partnerships and convert opportunities into sustainable care packages.
Right at Home Cardiff & Newport is an established, high-performing homecare business delivering exceptional care and support across South Wales. As part of the award-winning Right at Home network, we have built a strong local reputation for quality, professionalism and outstanding Client service.
This is a senior, highly visible and hands-on growth role. You will work closely with the Director and operational leadership team, but you will also have the autonomy to develop ideas, test new initiatives and take ownership of the private growth pipeline from first contact through to conversion and ongoing relationship development.
The opportunity
We are looking for someone who is energised by winning new business, opening doors and seeing measurable results. You will be expected to spend significant time in the community, building relationships, representing the organisation and creating a reliable flow of high-quality private client opportunities.
Your primary objective will be simple: Grow private Clients, private care hours and sustainable revenue across Cardiff & Newport.
What you will be responsible for
- Creating and delivering a clear private client growth plan for Cardiff & Newport.
- Generating a consistent pipeline of new private enquiries through networking, partnerships, community engagement, events and targeted campaigns.
- Building trusted referral relationships with GP practices, hospital discharge teams, district nurses, social workers, case managers, occupational therapists, solicitors, financial advisers, charities, community groups, retirement developments and other local professionals.
- Following up opportunities quickly and professionally, working with the care team to turn enquiries into assessments and sustainable care packages.
- Improving enquiry-to-assessment and assessment-to-client conversion rates.
- Identifying underdeveloped markets, local trends and new partnership opportunities.
- Planning and leading local networking, presentations, community events and brand-awareness activity.
- Working closely with marketing colleagues to ensure activity generates measurable enquiries and return on investment.
- Maintaining an accurate growth pipeline, recording activity and reporting clearly on outcomes, risks and next steps.
- Using performance data to recommend actions, challenge underperformance and keep growth activity on track.
- Representing Right at Home as a credible, knowledgeable and trusted local care partner.
- Collaborating with the wider leadership team to ensure growth is matched by safe recruitment, operational capacity and exceptional Client experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
