About Waterstone Legal

Waterstone Legal is a well-established and growing law firm providing professional, client-focused legal services across a broad range of practice areas, including Immigration & Asylum, Civil Litigation, Family Law, Landlord & Tenant, Personal Injury, and Residential & Commercial Conveyancing.
Based at our London Head Office, we are looking to recruit a talented and commercially minded Business Immigration Solicitor with 1–2 years’ PQE to join our expanding Immigration team.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of business and corporate immigration matters, advising businesses, employers and individual clients on UK immigration law.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor looking to develop their career within a growing practice and take greater responsibility for client relationships and case management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of business immigration matters from initial instruction through to completion
  • Advising corporate clients and individuals on UK business immigration routes
  • Handling Skilled Worker visa applications and other sponsored work routes
  • Advising businesses on Sponsor Licence applications, renewals and compliance
  • Assisting employers with sponsor management and Home Office compliance requirements
  • Advising on Certificates of Sponsorship and related sponsorship matters
  • Handling applications under relevant business and work-related immigration categories
  • Advising employers on right-to-work requirements and immigration compliance
  • Preparing and submitting high-quality immigration applications and supporting documentation
  • Drafting representations, legal submissions and client correspondence
  • Liaising with the Home Office, clients and relevant third parties
  • Keeping clients informed throughout the progress of their matters
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant files using the firm’s case management systems
  • Keeping up to date with developments in UK immigration law and Home Office guidance
  • Supporting the continued development and growth of the firm’s Business Immigration practice

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Have approximately 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Have demonstrable experience in Business Immigration law
  • Have experience dealing with Skilled Worker applications and Sponsor Licence matters
  • Possess strong knowledge of UK immigration law, rules and procedures
  • Be confident managing matters independently with appropriate supervision
  • Have excellent drafting, research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Be commercially aware and confident dealing with corporate clients
  • Be able to manage deadlines and a busy caseload effectively
  • Have strong IT skills and experience using legal case management systems
  • Be proactive, professional and committed to delivering high-quality legal services
