At St. Ewe, we’re a business built on doing things the right way - with people, hens and the planet at the heart of every decision. We’re proud to be a certified B Corp, recognised in The Times 100 fastest‑growing private companies list and named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work. These milestones reflect not just our growth, but our commitment to building a workplace and supply chain we can truly stand behind.
Our values - bold, positive, transparent and nurturing - shape how we work every day. We’re bold enough to challenge convention, positive in how we support each other and our partners, transparent in the way we communicate, and nurturing in how we care for our people, farmers and hens alike.
Being transparent is especially important to us. We believe in being open and honest from the outset - including about the standards we uphold. As part of this, we don’t allow poultry ownership at home for members of our team. It’s an important step in protecting the health and welfare of our hens, as well as maintaining the integrity of the farms we work with.
We’re committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive, bring their whole self to work, and feel valued for who they are. We know that different perspectives make us stronger - and that’s something we actively encourage as we continue to grow.
If you’re looking for a place where you can make a genuine impact, be part of a supportive team, and grow your career in a business that’s going places, we’d love to hear from you.
Your Role
To act as right hand to the Head of Operational Excellence and Projects, leading the delivery of business projects from initiation through to benefit realisation, while helping to build a continuous improvement culture as we develop it across St Ewe. You’ll combine hands-on project management with growing CI capability, picking up priorities at pace across a fast-changing business — with genuine potential to grow into a senior leadership role as the function matures. This role is office based in Cornwall.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

What does success look like?
Project & Programme Delivery
- Taking ownership of assigned projects end-to-end, from planning through to delivery, on time and within budget.
- Acting as a reliable extension of the PDO — able to pick up delegated pieces of work and run with them without needing detailed instruction.
- Keeping project trackers, risks, and dependencies up to date and flagging issues early rather than waiting to be asked.
Continuous Improvement & Coaching
- Taking a lead role in embedding CI practice on the ground — running structured problem-solving and root cause sessions with teams directly.
- Coaching colleagues through their own small improvement projects, building capability rather than doing it for them.
- Spotting opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste, and turning them into practical action rather than reports.
Trust, Communication & Team Fit
- Building genuine trust quickly — someone people are comfortable escalating to and confident will follow through.
- Communicating clearly and directly across all levels, favouring plain, honest updates
- Operating well in a team that values getting things done — pragmatic, low-friction, and willing to adapt on the fly whilst also championing and developing effective processes.
Support to the Function
- Acting as the go-to person in the PDO lead's absence for day-to-day queries and decisions.
- Contributing to reporting and dashboards, without needing to own the full data architecture.
- Building enough context across all live projects to step in and cover where needed.
