Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for driving change, improving processes and delivering business transformation?
Wates Property Services is seeking a Business Improvement Project Manager to join our Corporate Development team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex, business-critical projects across a national organisation while supporting contract mobilisation activities as required.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Development Director, you will lead strategic improvement initiatives from concept through to delivery, helping to enhance operational performance, strengthen processes and create long-term value across the business.
This is a national role with travel required across our network of offices including Finsbury Park, Birmingham, and other regional locations. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, combining home working with office and project-based collaboration.
About The Role
As Business Improvement Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and deliver complex internal business improvement and change projects from inception through to implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and customer outcomes across the business.
- Develop and implement new processes, systems and ways of working.
- Manage project governance, reporting, milestones, risks and stakeholder engagement.
- Work collaboratively with operational, commercial, finance and support functions to successfully embed change.
- Support contract mobilisation and business transition activities as and when required.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Identify and support cross-functional business opportunities that drive growth, collaboration and added value across WPS.
- Produce executive-level reports, presentations and business cases.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and against agreed objectives.

What We're Looking For
We're open to backgrounds from a variety of sectors, although experience within the built environment, construction, property services, housing, FM or infrastructure sectors would be advantageous.
You'll Ideally Have
- Proven experience delivering complex projects from concept through to successful delivery.
- A track record of implementing business change, process improvement and transformation programmes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience working across multiple departments and business functions.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify improvement and growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A solutions-focused, proactive and adaptable approach.
- Experience supporting mobilisation, transition or operational improvement programmes would be beneficial.
