We’re recruiting for a Business Improvement Project Manager to join a large, purpose-driven organisation operating within the housing and property sector.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced change, business improvement or continuous improvement professional who enjoys working across complex projects, bringing people together and turning ideas into practical, sustainable improvements.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation’s corporate strategy and target operating model, working across business improvement, change management, process development and operational excellence.
The role
As Business Improvement Project Manager, you’ll manage and contribute to a varied portfolio of change and improvement initiatives, with a particular focus on projects that are complex, cross-functional and organisation-wide.
You’ll work end-to-end across projects — from analysis and discovery through to solution design, process development, implementation and benefits realisation.
You’ll also help embed a culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement, supporting colleagues through coaching, training, collaboration and the development of effective processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key responsibilities
- Manage elements of a wider Change Management Portfolio, supporting the delivery of strategic priorities.
- Lead and coordinate change projects, ensuring objectives are delivered on time and within agreed parameters.
- Develop and manage project plans, risks, issues, dependencies and governance.
- Identify opportunities for business and continuous improvement, translating them into practical solutions.
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improved business processes.
- Apply process mapping, Lean and continuous improvement techniques to improve efficiency, consistency and customer outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, including senior leaders and teams across transformation, governance, HR, technology, procurement, finance and communications.
- Use quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis and customer insight to inform recommendations and solutions.
- Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels, helping to create engagement and ownership around change.
- Draw on external best practice and professional networks to identify new approaches and strengthen delivery.
- Identify risks associated with change, process improvement and operational delivery, putting appropriate mitigations in place or escalating through governance where required.
- Contribute to building organisational capability and a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
