The Position
The Business Insights Lead plays a critical role in shaping commercial decision-making across the Animal Health business through strategic analytics, business intelligence, and actionable insights. The role transforms complex data into meaningful recommendations that drive business growth, commercial performance, and competitive advantage.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Customer Excellence, and Leadership teams, the Business Insights Lead provides customer, product, pricing, and sales performance insights that support strategic priorities, investment decisions, and commercial actions. Combining strong analytical expertise with commercial acumen, the role serves as a trusted business partner, translating data into clear recommendations that enable evidence-based decision making.
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape and advance the commercial insights capability across the UK & Ireland Animal Health business, embedding insight-led decision making and maximising the value of data across the organisation.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Strategic Analytics & Insights
- Deliver proactive business analytics solutions and market insights aligned with Animal Health strategic priorities
- Provide customer, product, pricing, and sales performance insights to optimise commercial effectiveness and business growth
- Generate actionable recommendations to support business planning, commercial performance, and strategic decision making
- Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks through market analysis and horizon scanning activities
- Drive innovative approaches to analytics, reporting, and insight generation
- Support the development of a data-driven culture across the organization
Business Intelligence & Performance Management
- Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions, dashboards, and performance tracking tools
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate and impactful analytical outputs that support business objectives
- Improve data quality, accessibility, and governance to enhance decision-making capabilities
- Translate complex datasets into clear and meaningful insights for a broad range of stakeholders
- Continuously optimise reporting frameworks and analytical processes to maximise business value

Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Customer Excellence, and Leadership teams to identify business opportunities and address strategic challenges
- Deliver insights and recommendations that shape business priorities, inform investment decisions, and drive commercial actions
- Develop a deep understanding of brands, customers, markets, and commercial performance drivers
- Communicate complex findings in a clear and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to share best practices and align analytical approaches
Advanced Analytics & Innovation
- Lead the development of advanced analytics capabilities that deliver measurable commercial outcomes
- Utilise data from multiple internal and external sources, including market research and customer intelligence, to generate actionable business insights
- Support customer targeting, opportunity identification, propensity analysis, and next-best-action planning through advanced analytical solutions
- Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies, tools, and data assets to improve analytical capabilities
- Drive innovation in the application of analytics to support commercial growth and competitive advantage
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable industry regulations
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, governance, transparency, and ethical business practices
- Ensure adherence to relevant compliance requirements, including the NOAH Code of Practice
- Promote best practices and provide guidance relating to analytics, reporting, and data governance activities

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline
- Advanced degree preferred
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Commercial Insights, or a related field
- Proven track record of delivering analytics initiatives that support business performance and strategic decision-making
- Strong expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, data visualisation, and business intelligence tools
- Experience with Power BI or equivalent business intelligence and data visualisation platforms
- Experience working with complex data sources to generate actionable business insights
- Strong understanding of market research, commercial analytics, and competitive intelligence
- Exceptional data storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling business recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and support decision-making through insight-led recommendations
- Experience developing business-facing insight products, reporting solutions, or analytical capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Highly developed problem-solving, prioritisation, and organisational capabilities
- Experience within Animal Health, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, or another regulated industry would be advantageous
