IUC Business Intelligence Analyst
We are looking for a motivated and experienced IUC Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Integrated Urgent Care Business Intelligence team at London Ambulance Service.
The post holder will provide high-quality analytical and reporting support for our Integrated Urgent Care and NHS 111 services. This will include information relating to activity, demand, operational performance, clinical assessment, call handling, staffing and referral outcomes.
The role will involve extracting, validating, manipulating and analysing complex information from a range of internal and external systems. The post holder will identify trends, exceptions, areas of good practice and areas of concern, and turn this analysis into clear and useful insight for operational teams, managers, senior leaders and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, databases, spreadsheets and other analytical products using SQL Server, Power BI, Excel and related systems. They will also support managers and other users in understanding and interpreting complex information, particularly where data may be sensitive, conflicting or does not support initial expectations.
This would suit an analyst who enjoys working with complex operational data, solving problems and helping services make better use of their information.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
