Job Purpose

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. You'll develop Power BI reports and dashboards that help colleagues across Milestones Trust make informed, evidence-based decisions.

Working closely with stakeholders, business analysts and data engineers, you'll turn trusted data into clear, actionable insight that supports care delivery, operational performance and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and improve Power BI reports, dashboards and insight products.
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful metrics and reporting solutions.
  • Develop DAX measures and reporting logic.
  • Validate data, investigate issues and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Work with trusted, governed datasets and agreed data definitions.
  • Apply security, GDPR and information governance requirements.
  • Produce clear documentation and user guidance.
  • Support report adoption through training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, reduce manual processes and increase self-service analytics.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Strong experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Good knowledge of DAX and Power BI data models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gathering requirements and working with stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience validating reports and resolving data quality issues.
  • Understanding of GDPR, confidentiality and data protection principles.

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • SQL skills.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of Power BI security and deployment processes.
  • Experience in health, social care, charity or regulated environments.
