Fully Remote, Must be already based in the UK
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000

A global business is hiring a BI Developer to build and maintain enterprise-scale reporting on Power BI and Snowflake.
This sits inside an established BI function with a live backlog, a development lead and a product owner already in place. You would be picking up work from day one rather than shaping a function from scratch.
What you would be running:
- You would design, build and optimise Power BI semantic models, including star schema design, DAX measures, incremental refresh and row level security.
- You would build and maintain the Snowflake side, covering data modelling, preparation layers and KPI logic that feeds the reporting.
- You would take existing reports and models and improve them, troubleshooting performance problems and fixing what is not holding up at scale.
- You would translate complex business processes into reporting that stays maintainable after you leave.
- You would document what you build and hand knowledge over properly.
- You would work to the existing visualisation, governance and reporting standards rather than inventing your own.

What they need from you:
- Deep Power BI development experience, specifically semantic model and DAX work rather than report layout.
- Strong SQL and hands-on Snowflake experience in a production environment.
- Evidence of working on enterprise-scale reporting where model performance and governance actually mattered.
- The ability to join a live backlog and be productive without supervision.
- Clear communication in English, working alongside a development lead and product owner across European hours.

Useful but not essential:
- dbt, Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps or Git-based deployment pipelines
- Tabular Editor
- DAX Studio
- Previous contract work in a regulated or multi-market business
One thing worth being clear on: BI analysts and visualisation specialists who gather requirements and build dashboards on top of a model someone else owns are unlikely to be a fit here. The same applies to anyone whose Snowflake exposure is limited to querying tables that were modelled for them.
What counts here is whether you have personally built and owned the semantic model and the data layer beneath the reports.
