Are you a data-driven and technically minded BI professional looking for an opportunity to shape reporting and insight within a fast-paced retail environment? We offer hybrid working between your home and our offices within our flagship store in Newcastle, providing a collaborative and innovative working environment.

About the Role

As a BI Developer, you will play a key role in delivering trusted reporting solutions, dashboards, datasets, and data transformations that support decision-making across the business. Working with governed data models and cloud-based platforms, you’ll help provide accurate and meaningful insight to teams across Commercial Finance, Digital & eCommerce, Buying & Merchandising, Retail Operations, Marketing & CRM, and IT.

You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining reports, semantic models, and SQL-based reporting datasets, while also supporting testing, validation, and documentation processes. A strong focus of the role will be driving automation, improving reporting efficiency, and supporting wider data quality initiatives to ensure stakeholders have access to reliable and actionable information. Success in the role will be measured through the timely delivery of reporting solutions, improved data quality, reduced manual reporting effort, and overall stakeholder satisfaction.

What we are looking for in a candidate...

  • Strong SQL and analytical skills
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools
  • Developing dashboards (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts
  • Experience with cloud data platforms desirable (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Building and supporting data pipelines (ETL)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on in Business Intelligence development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in explaining data to end users at all levels of the business
