Business Intelligence Developer – Band 7
Location: Harlow
Pay Rates: Up to £26 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Contract: Temporary – 4 months
Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join an NHS organisation on a temporary 4-month assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality Business Intelligence solutions, including complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BI Developer with strong SQL, Power BI, and DAX expertise to contribute to data-driven decision-making within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse complex datasets.
- Design and develop sophisticated Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Create and optimise DAX measures and calculations to support effective reporting.
- Deliver end-to-end technical BI solutions from requirements gathering through to implementation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Ensure BI products are accurate, reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with organisational requirements.
- Support the development and improvement of reporting and data visualisation solutions.

Essential Requirements
- Advanced SQL query development skills.
- Strong Power BI development, data modelling, and DAX skills.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end technical Business Intelligence solutions.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar BI Developer role.
- Experience developing complex Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills.
Desirable Experience
- Previous NHS or healthcare experience.
- Experience using Qlik.
