Business Intelligence Developer - SEND (Power BI, SQL)

Contract

Inside IR35

£330-£385 per day

Hybrid (2 days a week on site, South East UK)

Panoramic Associates are supporting a Local Authority with a SEND Business Intelligence Developer interim requirement to support Children's Services, with a focus on Education and SEND.

The role will see you designing, developing and delivering business intelligence and performance reporting products that strengthen evidence-led decision making, support statutory reporting and enhance inspection readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and performance reports
  • Develop SQL queries and reporting outputs across complex datasets
  • Gather requirements from operational and strategic stakeholders, defining deliverables, milestones and timescales
  • Support data governance and GDPR compliance
  • Provide analysis and decision support for service improvement, transformation and inspection readiness work
  • Produce documentation and support effective handover of reporting products into BAU

Essential skills/experience:

  • Significant SQL development experience (complex querying and reporting outputs)
  • Strong Power BI development experience (dashboards, KPI/performance reporting, data modelling concepts)
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and requirements translation
  • Good knowledge of data governance, data quality and secure handling of sensitive information
  • Local government / Children's Services / Education / SEND background
  • Experience supporting statutory reporting or inspection activity through data and insight
