Interim BI Developer | Hospitality | 6 month contract | London- 4 days in the office | £70k | ASAP start.

I'm supporting a client with the hire of a BI developer, supporting the transition to a new Power BI tenant.

This is a hands-on delivery role focused on rebuilding and improving reports, developing robust SQL and Power BI solutions, and ensuring migrated content is accurate, tested and ready for business use.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models
  • Write efficient SQL for reporting, validation and reconciliation
  • Develop DAX and Power Query solutions
  • Publish and manage content in Power BI Service
  • Configure and troubleshoot refreshes, gateways, connections and permissions
  • Reconcile migrated reports and resolve data/reporting issues
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and Tech Services
  • Document solutions and provide effective handover to the BI team

  • Strong hands-on SQL and Power BI experience
  • Excellent Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service knowledge
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, DAX and Power Query
  • Experience with report migration, rebuild or rationalisation is highly desirable
  • Power BI gateways, paginated reports and Microsoft Fabric experience are a bonus
  • A practical, analytical and delivery-focused approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
