EQ Customer Resolutions has 25 years’ experience of providing contingent resource and technology solutions to regulated industries, including banks, lending, pension, insurance, and the utility providers. We have supported our clients with every major complaint population, covering pensions review, endowments, banking, Payment Protection Insurance (PPI), and car finance. Our projects range from one or two complaint handlers for a few weeks, through to hundreds of experts needed for major complaint management projects.
Role Summary
The Business Intelligence Lead is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting reporting and analytics solutions for both internal stakeholders and external clients. Working closely with clients, project teams, solution architects, and technical teams, the role leads the end-to-end delivery of reporting workstreams, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, user adoption, and continuous improvement.
The role combines strong technical expertise with stakeholder management, consultancy, and leadership skills.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, SQL, Azure, and related technologies.
- Develop dashboards, KPI frameworks, reporting packs, management information solutions, and client-facing analytics products.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder workshops, and discovery activities to define reporting needs and business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams, acting as the reporting subject matter expert throughout project delivery.
- Present reporting solutions, analytics, and recommendations to senior stakeholders, clients, and project teams.
- Translate business requirements into scalable reporting, data, and analytics solutions.
- Design data models, semantic models, reporting architectures, and KPI frameworks to support operational, strategic, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Work closely with data architects, engineers, and technical teams to define and deliver robust data solutions.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, reconciliation, and governance of reporting outputs.
- Produce and maintain data dictionaries, KPI catalogues, reporting inventories, solution documentation, and reporting standards.
- Support the design and delivery of cloud-based reporting solutions using Azure and modern Microsoft data platforms.
- Lead reporting workstreams across multiple projects and clients simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery against deadlines and business expectations.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The ideal candidate will have the below skills, capabilities and attributes:
- Extensive experience delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions within a commercial environment.
- Advanced Power BI development, data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design expertise.
- Strong SQL development and data analysis skills.
- Excellent understanding of reporting architecture, data warehousing, and data modelling principles.
- Experience working with Azure data and analytics technologies and modern cloud-based reporting platforms.
- Proven ability to quickly learn, assess, and implement new reporting tools and technologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consultancy experience.
- Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders and external clients.
- Ability to tell compelling stories with data and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading reporting workstreams and managing multiple priorities across concurrent projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, validation, and reporting controls.
