About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a market leading consumer goods business to recruit a commercially minded Business Intelligence & Revenue Growth Management Analyst. This is an opportunity to shape how commercial data is organised, analysed and used. Over six months, you’ll bring together information from multiple sources, build reliable reporting tools and deliver insights that support pricing, promotions and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Data Management
- Consolidate customer price files, electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) data and promotional plans into a central, structured repository.
- Standardise data formats, product hierarchies, customer definitions and reporting structures.
- Identify and resolve gaps, inconsistencies and data quality issues.
- Establish repeatable processes for collecting, validating and maintaining commercial data.
Business Intelligence and Reporting
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel reporting tools to track commercial performance.
- Analyse sales trends, pricing movements, promotional activity and retailer performance.
- Create consistent reporting across customers, products and sales channels.
- Reduce manual reporting through automation and improved data structures.
- Translate complex analysis into clear insights for commercial stakeholders.

Revenue Growth Management
- Monitor retailer selling prices, promotional mechanics and promotional frequency.
- Identify pricing inconsistencies, market trends and opportunities to improve commercial execution.
- Evaluate promotional sales uplift, return on investment and performance against plan, where data allows.
- Provide analysis to support commercial planning, pricing decisions and revenue growth opportunities.
Process Improvement and Handover
- Document data sources, definitions and reporting methods.
- Develop practical tools that the wider team can maintain.
- Share knowledge and provide a clear handover of dashboards, datasets and processes at the end of the assignment.
Requirements
- Experience in business intelligence, commercial analytics, sales analytics or revenue growth management.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables and complex data manipulation.
- Strong Power BI skills, with experience developing useful dashboards and reporting solutions.
- A consumer goods, FMCG or retail background, with an understanding of commercial performance.
- Experience consolidating large datasets from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with EPOS, retailer pricing and promotional data.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and take ownership of delivery.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Confidence communicating findings and working with stakeholders across different functions.

What You’ll Deliver
By the end of the assignment, you’ll have established a reliable commercial dataset, improved data accuracy, reduced manual reporting and created tools that support better commercial decisions. Clear documentation and knowledge transfer will ensure those improvements continue beyond the contract.

- Pay: Day rate, dependent on experience
