We are developing the next generation of PCB test equipment designed to transform the way circuit boards are validated in manufacturing. As our Business Leader, you will define the product vision, translate customer requirements into a market-leading solution, and guide development from concept through commercial launch.

The Role
Reporting directly to the GM you will own both the team and product strategy for an innovative tester specifically designed for latest generation PCBs applications.
Working closely with OEMs, CEMs & supported by our existing expertise, you will ensure that the product delivers exceptional technical capability while meeting commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap.
- Gather and prioritise customer requirements from PCB manufacturers, OEMs/CEMs and test service providers.
- Translate customer needs into detailed product requirements.
- Work with multidisciplinary engineering team including:
- Robotics
- Electronics
- High-speed measurement systems
- Embedded software
- Machine vision
- Mechanical design
- Prioritise development activities based on customer value and commercial return.
- Manage product requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define product positioning and competitive differentiation.
- Analyse competitor products and emerging technologies.
- Support beta programmes and customer evaluations.
- Work with Sales and Marketing on product launch activities.
- Define pricing strategy and long-term product evolution.
About You
You are equally comfortable discussing commercial strategy with customers and technical detail with engineers.
You have experience bringing complex industrial or scientific equipment to market and understand how to balance innovation, technical risk and customer value.
Essential
- Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner for technical products.
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation or electronic test equipment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience defining product requirements and roadmaps.
- Commercial awareness and market analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Desirable
- Experience in one or more of:
- PCB manufacturing or electronic assembly
- Electrical testing of PCBs
- High-speed digital electronics and signal processing
- Robotics and motion control
- Machine vision
- Precision metrology
- Automated test equipment (ATE)

Location
Onsite at our facility in Macclesfield, with regular attendance at our remote engineering facilities and customer sites as required.
